‘Which gardens should I visit when I’m in London?’
It’s the question visitors always ask. And it’s not always an easy one to answer, though it is a perfectly reasonable enquiry, given that Britain is known for its garden culture. The irony is that the best gardens tend to be out in the countryside. Nevertheless, there are a number of gems to be sought out even in the midst of the metropolis.
